“Steady as She Goes” is a tribute to those who listen to the call of the ocean and an invitation to those who do not. Inspired by those who bravely venture into the unknown, Jennifer Grayson’s work evokes the spirits of valiant explorers who traveled across tumultuous waters to discover new worlds. Her own origins,seated in New Orleans and Cape Fear, along with a bloodline hailing from Spanish Conquistadors forged a maritime obsession. Now, through a series of installations, Grayson awakens the human need for adventure and challenges all of us to honor the power of the sea.
